Paris, 21st March 2018 – Five finalists have been named for the competition Formagination at MIPFormats – The International Format Pitch, and will present their original ideas to a prestigious industry jury at the world’s leading event for the global formats community next month.
MIPFormats is the specialist incubator for unscripted TV formats that takes place in Cannes, France, on 7 and 8 April, ahead of MIPTV, the leading global TV and digital content market, which runs 9-12 April.
Formagination at MIPFormats – The International Format Pitch, sees two major launchpads join forces to make formats happen on a global scale. Built on the success of the MIPFormats International Pitch and Formagination, Armoza Formats’ long-running competition, the event sets out to spot early-stage ideas with potential to make it on international screens.
“This year we have an intriguing lineup, with participants spanning across different cultures and countries. This is reflected in their format ideas; however, the diversity doesn’t stop at location. We are seeing it in genres and technologies as well. We are looking forward to seeing what each has to offer at their pitches,” said Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats.
