JUNIOR@MIPTV OPENS WINDOW ON THE FUTURE OF KIDS’ ENTERTAINMENT
ONE-DAY EVENT FEATURES TOP BUYERS AND BROADCASTERS

Paris, 31 March 2015 MIPTV today announces an exciting line-up for the second edition of Junior@MIPTV, a one-day focus offering a new window on the future of kids’ entertainment. Junior@MIPTV will take place on Tuesday 14 April.

With over 1,000 kids’ programming buyers at MIPTV, the event will bring together key decision-makers to share their perspectives and strategies on developing kids’ content and brands effectively across multiple platforms.

This focus, Junior@MIPTV, is split into showcases from broadcasters and platforms, off-stage events and matchmaking sessions. Highlights include MIPTV’s first Kids Public Broadcasters Breakfast, which will kick off the Junior@MIPTV programme. Some of the world’s most influential executives in children’s programming will discuss with their peers the biggest challenges for public service broadcasters.

Back for a second edition, The Future of Kids’ TV Summit is welcoming 100 decision-makers from the sector, a unique opportunity to be inspired by a carefully curated group of visionary speakers and to network with some of the best. This edition’s exclusive line-up brings to the stage Malik Ducard, Global Head of Family and Learning, YouTube; Fred Seibert, the first Creative Director of MTV and the last President of Hanna-Barbera Cartoons; Paul Nunn, Managing Director, Outfit7 Brit Limited; and Deirdre Brennan, Controller, Children’s Content, ABC Australia.

Two conferences are scheduled on the themes The Kids’ Channels Talk and Playing the Digital Transformation, which will bring together broadcasters, producers and digital players. They will unveil their editorial strategies and coproduction initiatives, and share their perspectives on the future of production, commissioning, funding and extension of kids’ programming.

Then, as part of the MIP Digital Fronts programme, Awesomeness TV Founder Brian Robbins & Star Vlogger Meg DeAngelis, take the stage on Wednesday 15 April for the first ever MIP Digital Screening dedicated to Kids’ programming, showcasing some of the best in children’s original online video.
